Who else will be there?

Each lab is limited to 5 businesses, so each team will get the opportunity to be supported individually and facilitators can work with you on your challenge personally throughout the lab. At the same time it is a chance to connect with other businesses who are working on their own separate challenge and bounce ideas off one another as far as you are comfortable sharing.

How many people total in the room?

Each team will have 5-7 team members, there will be 5 teams and 2 facilitators. Around 25 total.

How do I know I won’t end up next to my direct competitor?

It is an application process We are using a brief application to ensure that competitors won’t be in the same workshop.

Is this really worth five mornings of my team’s time?

5 mornings may seem like a bit of a time commitment, but it’s worth it in the long run. The Design Thinking approach makes it so you are able to solve the right problem the first time or get feedback before investing time and money into product development and you will be able to use it for future challanges. It will actually save you time and money!

Who should I bring in my team?

Ideally, your team should consist of as many different perspectives as possible; different positions within the company, customers, shareholders, etc. For example, a good team for a restaurant to bring would be owner, manager, kitchen staff, server, someone younger on the team and maybe a customer (if possible). We will help you decide who to bring as part of your team, and, in some cases, may be able to invite individuals with the needed perspectives for you.
